Start your Guwahati Shillong Cherrapunji tour when you arrive at the station/airport. Our executive will welcome you and take you straight to Shillong. On the way, drop by Barapani Lake, the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya. Also known as Umiam Lake, it is beautifully surrounded by Sylvan hills. On reaching Shillong, check-in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day leisurely. Later, have your dinner and retire for the night .
On the 2nd day of your Guwahati Shillong tour, you will visit Cherrapunji . So in the morning, after breakfast, begin the excursion towards Cherrapunji. You will be able to explore various waterfalls, limestone caves and other natural sites to enjoy several fun-filled activit…
Start the day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Later, proceed for a day excursion to Mawlynnong. This village is named the cleanest village in Asia. Here, pay a visit to Jingmaham Living Root Bridge. Then, walk around the charming Mawlynnong Village and stop at the beautiful waterfalls . Next, proceed for a visit to Dawki, 34 km from Mawlynnong Village. The small border town in the Jaintia Hills is known for the picturesque Umngot River, a must-visit site in Meghalaya. Enjoy the scenic beauty and a boat ride in the crystal clear waters where you can feel like you are floating in the air as the water is so clear. Explore the nearby sights too. After sightseeing , return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Shillong .
After completing our sightseeing at Shillong , we will head towards Kaziranga, the world heritage site situated in Assam. It would be around 270 kilometers drive from Shillong and it is estimated to take around 7 hours. So, it would be a complete journey day with few stops to enjoy the local beauties and cuisine of Assam and Meghalaya. We will Overnight stay at Hotel in Kaziranga .
Next day we will take you out for sightseeing at Kaziranga. Kaziranga National Park is itself an exquisite beauty to watch with a list of different species of flora and fauna. Of course no need to mention about the gentle beautiful creature for which Kaziranga is famous all over the world, the one horned rhinoceros. Early morning wake up call for Elephant safari. Post breakfast Jeep Safari inside at Kaziranga National Park (Central/Western Range). After lunch visit nearby Tea & Rubber Gardens. Evening visit Orchid Museum & enjoy cultural shows (on direct payment basis). Night stay, in Kaziranga.
After breakfast Proceed to Bhalukpong and visit Tippi Orchids, which is one of the famous Natural View in North East part of India. Check in Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.
After breakfast we will start drive for Dirang tour. Enter the Arunachal by Bhalukpong check post. Dirang is an ideal getaway in West Kameng district with beautiful apple orchards and sheep breeding farms.Its spectacular landscape and beauteous nature will surely please your eyes and comfort your body and soul. We will visit Kalachakra Gompa also refered as Dirang Monastery and perceive the serene land. then to Dirang Dzong (fort) which is about 150 years old and have an excellent view of the surrounding. Upon arrival at Dirang, check into the hotel. In the evening you are free to visit the hot water spring, regional sheep farm, Sangti, and Yak Research Center. Overnight stay at Dirang
After breakfast, transfer to Tawang. En route, we cross Sela Pass, the Highest Motorable Road in Eastern Himalayas at about 14000ft above Sea level, and Jaswant Garh (China – Indo War Memorial). Overnight stay at hotel.
Post breakfast, start your day with a breathtaking view of PT Tso Lake, Bumla Pass (Excluded), Sangetsar Lake. Sangestser is popularly known as (Madhuri Lake) which was named after the Legendary Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit, located 35 km from Tawang near China border. The drive for Sangestserlake is full of thrill and one can still see the war bankers that had been used during the Chinese aggression in 1962 and the beautiful lake. Return back to Tawang for a night's stay.
In the morning after breakfast start for your full day Tawang sightseeing trip. Start sightseeing in and around Tawang city. we visit Tawang Monastery, the 400yrs old, 6th birthplace of Holy Highness Dalai Lama, hen we move on to The Tawang War Memorial, a beautiful stupa build in memory of the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the 1962 Sino-Indian war. Later, we will go on a short trek to Bramdungchung Ani Gompa, which is the abode of nuns and the oldest Ani Gompa in Tawang. Take home local carpet woven by local ladies, Mompa traditional mask as a token of memory from Craft Centre Emporium. In the evening enjoy light and sound show. After this return to your hotel for the overnight stay in Tawang.
Post breakfast, we will move on to Bomdila. At a height of 8OOO ft., Bomdila is a small town famous for its Buddhists monasteries, magnificent valleys, and Himalayan landscapes. Evening free at leisure. Overnight in Bomdila.
After breakfast drive to Guwahati.arrival and check in to the hotel, evening free Market exploration or Cruise at Mighty Brahmaputra River. Night stay
Visit to the famed Kamakhya Temple – Assam’s oldest temple, oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas. then transfer to Guwahati airport / Railway Station for your return journey with Sweet Memories.
